ABOUT YOUR TUTOR

Billie Godfrey is one of the UK’s leading session singers and vocal arrangers; Her singing credits include work with some of the world’s greatest artists such as Prince, Sir Paul McCartney, Heaven 17, Lionel Richie, Adele, Sting, Chaka Khan, Jools Holland, Amy Winehouse, Paul Weller, Kylie Minogue and many others.  Her work spans UK and European tours and other live work playing at Europe’s major venues  including London’s O2 Arena, Wembley Arena and The Royal Albert Hall.

 

Billie’s studio work includes featuring on “Ray’s Theme” on the filmscore for the Oscar winning film “Ray”, and her many studio recordings include albums for Beverley Knight, Michael Ball, Jools Holland and Ray Lamontagne at Abbey Road Studios to name but a few.

  

As a vocal coach Billie currently teaches privately and at the Conservatoire of Music & Dance in Thouars, France and has taught at degree level at Brighton Institute of Modern Music.

“I think singing should never be about being judged. It should be a joyful and liberating experience; so many people want to explore their voices but feel intimidated – I like to help people overcome their inhibitions and enjoy learning how to use their voice with confidence.”


My sessions include exploring the vocal range that suits your voice the best as well as techniques for controlling breathing, tuning and volume as well as exploring tones of voice, emotional delivery of lyrics and how to deal with fulfilling your vocal aspirations by demolishing your mental, physical and technical obstacles.

Also written and tutored by Billie Godfrey (and other professional singers) these workshops take a holistic approach to you as a whole performer; to reach your full potential vocally, physically and mentally. This course will help you to know and own your voice, boost and control your mental attitudes and learn how to OWN the stage you deserve to be on.
