There is nothing like hunting out a bargain at one of the Loires famous Antique markets or Bricantes.

Most Sunday’s on the banks of the Loire there is a magical antiques market. On the 2nd Sunday of the Month it moves to the beautiful town of Montsoreau. On the third Sunday to Chinon, on the fourth to Saumur and the last Sunday Azay-Le-Rideau.

Or for a real bargain why not try a Vide-Grenier (Empty Attic). Similar to a car boot sale but a good place to find some wonderful French Bricobrac.

As well as the markets and Vide-Greniers there are also Depot Vents. These are huge warehouses full of old French furniture waiting for a new home.
